Orphans of the Storm

Orphans of the Storm is a 1921 silent film directed by D. W. Griffith and starring Lillian Gish.

CinemaWeb's review opens by saying,
Orphans of the Storm marked a turning point for D.W. Griffith. It was his last complete artistic success, and, not coincidentally, features Lillian Gish's final performance for the director. Orphans of the Storm deserves a place of honor in every serious collection of the best silent films
and calls it "one of Lillian Gish's finest performances".

FilmsDeFrance's review calls it
a monumental work that is both enjoyable to watch and a fine example of the art of filmmaking.
