Last Year's Snow Was Falling is a 1983 Russian claymation-type short film that takes place during the winter before the New Year. I watched this online but can't find a source now that'll let me embed it. This page has it, though, with English subtitles.

    Oh wow. I got into claymations when I saw a short film in the early 90s. I can't imagine how long it takes to make one of these short films. Thanks for the link, too.

      I saw a making-of documentary for a claymation film once and was amazed at how long each bit of the movie took to set up and film.

    Now that was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Obviously some cultural differences as to what is funny, but was quite the odd tale--LOL!
